Keep your ring brilliant.

Diamonds are the hardest natural material on earth, but the setting around them still needs looking after. A few simple habits keep your ring looking new for decades.

Daily wearWhat to take it off for

  • Swimming, cleaning with bleach, and gardening — chemicals dull metal and can loosen prongs
  • Gym sessions and heavy lifting — repeated impact is the leading cause of chipped stones
  • Applying lotion, sunscreen or perfume — residue builds up under the stone and dulls sparkle
Cleaning

At home, weekly

Soak in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 20 minutes, then brush gently with a soft toothbrush behind the stone and rinse well.

Storage

Every time it's off

Store separately in a soft pouch or lined box — diamonds scratch other jewellery, including other diamonds.

Professional careGet it checked once a year

Bring your ring in annually to have the prongs checked and the stone re-tightened. Most lost stones happen because a prong wore thin unnoticed — a two-minute check catches it before that happens.

Included with every purchase

Free annual inspection and cleaning, and a one-time complimentary resize within 60 days of delivery.
